Beyond its headline buildings, Citipointe Christian College has trusted Piwinski Constructions with a steady programme of smaller, demanding projects across its Carindale campus: new classrooms, covered and accessible walkways, suspended slabs and the complete rebuild of the high school's central precinct, all delivered around a working school.
The project
Schools rarely have a quiet time to build. Every one of these projects was planned around the timetable, holiday periods and the movement of students and staff, with work zones fenced, deliveries scheduled outside drop-off and pick-up, and noisy works programmed for the right windows.
These works sit alongside our larger Citipointe projects: The Arena, the Secondary Student Centre, the library extension and staff room, and the prep classrooms and covered walkways.
Campus works delivered
We managed each package from pricing and programming through to handover, coordinating trades and the College's facilities team at every step.

- Extended covered walkways around K Block, including a new suspended slab
- Complete rebuild of the central precinct in the middle of the high school

Challenges
Working between classes
Students move through these spaces every few minutes. Work zones were fenced and re-routed as the job progressed so there was always a safe path around the site.
Holiday-period programmes
Classrooms and high-impact works were planned to start and finish inside school holidays, including a classroom completed in just three weeks.
Accessible connections
New walkways, ramps, stairs and handrails had to tie into existing buildings at different levels and meet the accessibility code across the whole route.
A long-term partnership
Citipointe has kept coming back, project after project, since 2019. For a school, choosing the same builder again is the clearest sign that the work was safe, on time and done properly.
