Piwinski Constructions built Sure Dental's new two-storey practice in Wavell Heights, taking the project from a bare site through the base building and into a complete, specialist dental fit-out. Trent ran the job directly with the owner from start to handover.
The project
Sure Dental needed a modern, highly visible home for its practice, with treatment surgeries, sterilisation and staff areas, and the specialist services that dentistry depends on. It had to be delivered to a firm budget and timeline.
The building pairs a bold, two-storey form with vertical aluminium cladding, timber-look screens and generous glazing, with parking beneath and the practice above.
What we delivered
We procured and managed every trade, ran the programme and budget, and coordinated the dental equipment, services and finishes with the owner.
- Authority approvals and connections: water, sewer, power and NBN
- Site preparation, excavation, piers and shotcrete retaining walls
- Retaining wall waterproofing and termite protection
- Concrete slabs, formwork and 200-series blockwork
- Structural steel frame and roof trusses
- Metal roofing and powder-coated aluminium cladding
- Commercial windows and glazed doors
- Plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning and fire services
- Plasterboard, acoustic insulation, door frames and cavity sliders
- Surgery cabinetry and joinery, and fit-out plumbing to every surgery
- Vinyl flooring and tiling (slip-resistance tested), balustrades and screens
- Painting, final clean and handover with Certificate of Occupancy
Challenges
Services in a tight footprint
Dental surgeries bring plumbing, suction, air, electrical and data, equipment set-out and infection-control finishes together in a small space. Every service had to be in exactly the right place before the walls were closed up.
Two stages, one team
The base building and the dental fit-out ran as consecutive stages, so the structure, services rough-in and fit-out trades were planned together from day one to avoid rework.
Owner-led decisions
With Trent dealing directly with the owner, decisions on equipment, finishes and budget were made quickly, keeping the programme moving and the cost under control.

Sure Dental moved into a striking, fully fitted-out practice delivered as promised on budget, timeline and capability, in the owner's own words.
