Library Extension & Staff Room
A $4.2 million renovation and extension of the College library, with new staff facilities and 1,200 m² of new coloured concrete forecourt, ramps and stairs.
Citipointe Christian College engaged us to extend and renovate its library and upgrade its staff room, creating a modern learning environment for students and better facilities for staff. The project was completed in February 2021.
Scope
All civil works, including relocating every service within the new building footprint. The extension was built on bored piers with a post-tensioned suspended slab and lightweight framing. Outside, we replaced 1,200 m² of asphalt with coloured concrete, including new ramps and stairs.
Working around the school
The library stayed central to campus life throughout the build, so works were staged, deliveries were scheduled outside drop-off and pick-up, and the work zone was cordoned off from students at all times.
